GROWCommunity is forming a Communications Committee to drive our efforts to shine a spotlight on the amazing things happening in our neighborhood schools and support the communication needs of our various outreach events.
We welcome anyone interested in volunteering to the Communications Committee kick-off meeting on Thursday, March 8, at 6:30pm. This meeting will give you a chance to hear more about our communication efforts and help you understand how you can get involved. All are welcome—no experience necessary!
With the GROWCommunity Enrollment Policy, 8th grade students from any of the GROW elementary schools* who apply to Amundsen or Lake View through GoCPS will be guaranteed admission, regardless of where they live.
This webinar will walk prospective families through the process of accessing these seats through the GoCPS application.

6th annual Hidden Gems High School Fair being held at Amundsen High School and hosted by Chicago School GPS, which promises "over 35 participating schools, each with unique qualities that you may not have known about prior to coming to our Hidden Gems Fair."
Amundsen and Lake View are both participating in the fair.

Parochial and private school families are invited to a special tour of Amundsen High School on Wednesday, June 14 at 10am. This event is for current 7th and 8th graders and their parents. It will be hosted by Principal Anna Pavichevich.

Principal P will discuss the tremendous academic and physical improvements to the school during her tenure. She will also provide details about Amundsen's excellent IB program, as well as the many sports and club opportunities available to all students. Amundsen will be in session that day, so this is a unique opportunity to meet teachers and students and see the school in action.
Amundsen High School is located at 5100 N. Damen Avenue in Lincoln Square. It is adjacent to the beautiful 42 acre Winnemac Park, the home of Jorndt Stadium and the site of a recent $250,000 Cubs grant for renovated baseball/softball facilities. Parking in the lot off of Damen Avenue is available to all. The main entrance to the school is the middle door, facing Damen Avenue.
